GLS France celebrates the successful integration of startup Tousfacteurs, with nearly 30 million parcels geo-tracked in one year

Paris, 29 June 2023 - In June 2022, GLS France announced the acquisition of Tousfacteurs. In a hyper-competitive sector where innovation is essential, GLS France acquired this start-up to accelerate its digital transformation and meet the growing needs of customers in terms of traceability, reliability and speed of delivery. Today, the company claims to be 3 years ahead of its competitors in terms of innovation. Some of the tools deployed exclusively by GLS France since the acquisition mark a step forward from industry practices and are now available for all B2C parcels managed by GLS France.
These innovations are now enabling GLS to make progress in a rather limited market: 65 million parcels are delivered each year, 50% in B2B and 50% in B2C. GLS France's turnover increased by 6% in the last financial year to reach 481 million euros in 2022, crowning 3 years of growth for a total of +43%.
Unique, interactive tools
With the acquisition of Tousfacteurs, GLS France has become the spearhead of the group and the sector in terms of innovation. Thanks to the collaboration with Tousfacteurs' "digital native" team, GLS has been able to develop disruptive solutions to simplify the daily lives of end customers and offer an exceptional delivery experience. In less than a year, GLS's NPS has risen from 50 to 65: an exceptionally high level for the market. One of the main achievements of this collaboration is GLS's exclusive geotracking system, which enables 100% of parcels destined for private customers to be tracked. This cutting-edge technology offers optimum traceability and enhances customer satisfaction. It is accompanied by interaction tools that are unique on the market (real-time redirection and the ability for brands to propose content to customers).
● Geotracking: GLS is the only carrier to track 100% of B2C last-mile parcels by geolocation.
● LRS (Live Redirection Service): live change of delivery method up to a quarter of an hour before delivery.
● Advertisers' space on the geolocation page: for GLS business customers, Track & Engage enables targeted communication to be added to the delivery tracking page, with advertising space, for a 100% complete and immersive shopping and delivery experience.
"Innovation is at the heart of our strategy at GLS. Thanks to the successful integration of Tousfacteurs, we have been able to push back the boundaries of customer experience in the parcel delivery sector. In addition to the widespread use of precise geolocation, we have invested in advanced technological solutions such as the Live Redirection Service (LRS), which enables real-time interaction with the delivery, offering a unique interactive experience. In addition, we have developed an advertiser space on the geolocation page, which offers shippers an immersive brand experience," says Nicolas Robert, Managing Director of GLS France.
Solutions that appeal to individuals and businesses: Zalando, Lidl...
The collaboration between GLS and Tousfacteurs has also enabled GLS France to expand its customer portfolio, attracting new companies such as Zalando, Lidl, Silamp and Paris Fashion Shop, who have been won over by the quality of service and innovations on offer.
"GLS now meets our expectations, particularly in terms of the level of service and flexibility offered to recipients right up to the last minute. In addition to the delivery service provided, they are committed to offering the best possible customer experience. It's a partner we've been able to count on since the launch of our e-commerce site. Arnaud Girard - e-commerce manager - Lidl France
GLS France and its start-up Tousfacteurs are continuing to work on new artificial intelligence solutions to improve delivery operations, offer extra vigilance to delivery staff and boost customer satisfaction. The Tousfacteurs start-up is therefore a truly integrated innovation laboratory, which is also continuing its green delivery business, offering unrivalled performance in the sector.
"We are delighted with our successful integration into GLS France, which is rare in the world of acquisitions. Together, we have been able to preserve Tousfacteurs' autonomy while benefiting from significant synergies. This collaboration has been a real driver of innovation for GLS France, positioning us ahead of the market in terms of digitalisation and customer satisfaction. It has enabled Tousfacteurs to achieve a real change of scale, mobilising new human and financial resources to develop and deploy other innovations within the GLS group," add Benjamin Levine and Youssef Tagemouati, co-founders of Tousfacteurs.
